Eastbourne Voluntary Lifeguards

About

ABOUT us

Eastbourne Voluntary Lifeguard Club was founded in 1948 to deliver training to members of our community that could potentially save their own lives and the lives of others.

We offer vital training to the community throughout the year including training in water safety skills, personal survival skills, water-based rescue skills and first aid skills, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Our club actively takes part in a large variety of lifesaving competitions at all ages to encourage members to continue to develop their lifesaving skills and maintain standards.

We also support local events through providing water safety and first aid cover, alongside sharing drowning prevention messages.

The club is affiliated to the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) and Surf Lifesaving GB (SLS GB). As such we aim to deliver a range of courses available and support them in their aims.
